Fulbright U.S. Students

US scholars

The Fulbright U.S. Student Program provides grants for students to conduct a study or research project or engage in an English Teaching Assistantship during one academic year (8-10 months) in a country outside the United States. Candidates for the grant must demonstrate the capacity for independent study or research, together with a general knowledge of the history, culture, and current events of the countries to which they are applying. They should not have recent extensive experience abroad (excluding recent undergraduate study abroad), especially in the country of application. The program offers about 1,700 awards annually.
